You can make your own collage and it will be part of this important exhibit about the effect of the prison system on this community! We'll provide refreshments and supplies to make collages to add to the exhibit. All ages welcome.

Do you know someone who's incarcerated in California?

The 'Home and Away' project at Peralta Hacienda will document the effects of mass incarceration on our community in Oakland.

Community members will create the exhibit in the Peralta House throughout the year through writing, photos and collages they make and bring, adding to visuals, words and a map of California's prisons provided by artist and writer Linda Norton.

Click here for more info about Linda Norton!

This project is possible thanks to the generous support of the Creative Work Fund.
